This team wanted to find an inclusive way to convert their fun into energy. Their extensive research and detailed cost calculations made this solution credible. The solution was shared with many and was even discussed in the radio. The town's Park and Rec Department was so impressed that they are evaluating this solution to be used in town. This team scored a goal with their presentation.

This team used two purposely built robots so all the team members get equal opportunity to build and design. This team spreads their robot knowledge to the community through a robot club that they founded and continue to run. Their design ideas involve modularity and simplicity to score high in the robot games.

This team knows how to have fun. The team was kind, courteous and always had an inquisitive smile. They even cleaned up the pieces of blue pom-pom that fell on the floor. This rookie team of fourth and fifth graders will be a "power" to be reckoned with for years to come.
2nd Judges Award

For promoting programming education. This team was concerned with the future of their FLL program as many members were graduating. So a few members devoted their time to teach other students in their FLL program programming. One member took it upon himself to learn python over the summer. Most teams struggle to complete all activities necessary to get to the State Championship today because they run out of time. This team had excess time after the qualifiers so they rewrote their code in python.
3rd Judges Award

This team impressed the judges with their project. They sang and danced with crunchy crumbs that can be collected to help improve their world. Layers of food that could build a mound was later pounded into biogas.

This team showed great potential with their Energy. Their respect and collaboration flowed effortlessly and shed a light on their mountain of teamwork. "To add to that" there was clearly little resistance to inclusion in this team.

This team never runs out of power. Their innovation have a potential for making a real world impact. They truly moved the judges with their amazing outside-in strategy for building and made us dizzy with their innovation circles. Despite of being under the same roof, they worked incredibly together. This team had a well thought project idea that considered a real world problem in their own town. They thrilled the judges with their well presented robot design process, showing all their iterations and video of how their robot changed with each iteration. Overall they made sure they checked off all the FIRST Core values.

This team showed incredible dedication to passing down skills and knowledge to their upcoming students. They demonstrated coding and strategy proficiency, utilizing a time and motion study to calculate points per second. These snakes proved they can really slay the phantoms.
